About Member-Years

AAA gives you access to affordable, high-quality accident insurance from one of the strongest and most well-known names in the industry—The Hartford. Just being a member of an AAA motor club makes you eligible for significant cash coverage when you enroll in one of the plans.  That’s because each year of your club membership qualifies you for automatic increases in your plan’s cash coverage.

You’ll enjoy a 10% increase for each consecutive year, up through the 6th year.  You’ll earn up to 50% more coverage—without paying an additional penny. That’s more cash in hand in the unfortunate event that you or family members experience an accident:

Your AAA membership also means that you’ll qualify for one of the plans regardless of your medical history as long as you reside in the U.S. and you’re at least 18 years old. You can include your family members and enroll in multiple plans, if you wish. In fact, we recommend considering extra layers of protection—a life, auto, and health insurance plans can fall short of the costs of an accident or accidental death.

Note that the costs of our accident insurance plans are not included in your AAA Membership dues. Access to these plans is an extension of your AAA benefits and services.  You do need to enroll in the plans separately and pay the affordable premium. The AAA Member-Years program then increases the coverage (for no additional charge) under the plan you choose.  And of course, the increases you’ve already earned because of past years become effective immediately upon your enrollment in one of the plans.
